Chapter 2, Verse 5

Back on the town, Freya drinks without worries, unaware that Vegeta and Fenrir will soon fight the beast. [Con(Freya)] The beers at the Drunken Wagon isn't especially strong, but either is Freya to alcohol. After some mugs of beer she feels slightly drunk (-1 Dex). She then asks Marcus for a room to wait until dawn. Marcus quickly replies:
"Of course!... Anything for you! Is the last room upstairs, to your left. Its nothing special but is the best one. In that one doesn't rain inside. And don't worry about the money. When that stag gets caught, the debt will be deducted from the reward. Even if your weren't involved." His smile widens. " You can use it for long as you like."
Meanwhile on the elven crypt, Vegeta and Fenrir work together to successfully caught the Golden Stag. Fenrir prepares himself, Vegera aims at the wall and the Stag's eyes reflex the two like that is the last thing it will see. [Con/Wll(Vegeta)]Vegeta throws his weaker attack at the agreed angle and [Dex(Fenrir)] jumps himself in direction to the pray to ambush it.
The energy ball flies in direction of that stag but it remained immobile. The projectile passes though the Stag witch makes it simple dissipate in a golden cloud. The attack hits and is absorbed by the wall resulting in suppressing the expected explosion's impact and activating a contraption. While Fenrir is still on the air, spikes erupt from the mossy ground and side walls. [Dex(Vegeta)] This kind of mechanisms are not match to Vegeta reflexes. He easily dodges and retreats back to the antechamber to avoid the spiky trap. [Dex(Fenrir)] Fenrir for the other side is caught by surprise by the vanishing of the stag and is unable to dodge the deadly spikes.
The spikes perforated Fenrir's heart resulting in a instant dead (-13 Con). His torch falls to the ground and breaks into small fragments unable to sustain a flame. The trap retracts his spikes back into the walls. The werewolf body of Fenrir drops on a pool of his own blood, illuminated by the torch that Vegeta dropped earlier. Vegeta stands outside of the corridor watching the fate of those that are weak. Soon after the spikes cleared the room, the corridor floor quickly divides itself in to and swallows Fenrir body into a cold dark pit. Then it closes as quickly as it opened. [Dex/Per(Vegeta)] The pit is so dark and it's doors moved so quickly that Vegeta was unable to peak into the deeps of the trap.
A new mystery is undercovered. [Int(Vegeta)] Was the stag able to teleport, change it's form or simple a cloud of golden dust all along? Without the stag, the wall behind it is revealed. It seems there is some kind of inscription on the wall. Longer than the inscriptions on the antechamber but also in elven. Could it be the answer behind this wall?

Vegeta smiles, thinking to himself "Now i don't have to share the bounty with him. Not that i would but..."
After that small pause, he catches the torch he dropped before. He remembered what fenrir said before about some elv...something rubbish and decided to approach carefully the wall in case the traps trigger once again, trying to find something that help him uncover what it's written but knowing that he probably would had to return to the inn empty-handed to find someone that knows how to translate it.

Smoke tell Freya that it's better going to their journey. The others hunters can't go so far. Freya take some food to travel and say goodbye to the good man." Maybe another day." She pet Smoke and go to a darker space, to anyone know her secret. She reveals her wings and fly to the center of the forest, looking for the place of the explosion. Her precious friend go with her keeping their attention in the ground.

Fenrir's dead doens't seems to affect in anyway Vegeta's dark heart. It seems that he is even happy that he doesn't need to share the bounty's reward. Regardless of the smell and the fresh blood on the ground, Vegera grabs the torch and approaches the wall's shadow, carefully so that the trap doesn't trigger again.
Closer inspection of the wall at the torch's light reveals that it is in fact a door. There is a inscription on the door, [Int(Vegeta)] but Vegeta is unable to translate it. He recognises thought, that it shares some characters from the inscriptions on the antechamber, so the language should be the same. [Per(Vegeta)] There is no handle on the door but it seems that this door has been opened recently.
Freya takes two apples from Marcus's balcony and gives her farewells to the fans and admirers in the inn. Followed by her pet Smoke, she exits from the front door of the Drunken Wagon and cloaks herself in the shadows behind the inn. There, she unravels her wings and takes flight in direction of the centre of the Moonleaf Forest. [Dex(Freya)] Freya is noticed by one townsmen when reaching for the sky, but the dark of the night covers her identity and keeps her secret.
The night is dark, but Smoke guides Freya trough the forest sky. The journey is quickly made by air, but [Con(Freya)]Freya arrives the river, were Fenrir and Vegeta fought the Grey Render, breathless. After a moment to take her breath, Freya noticed a golden glow coming from behind the trees on the eastern side of the river. Even in the dark of the night, the majestic glow reveals the creature as the cunning Golden Stag!

Freya observes the Stag. He is amazing. She don't wanna kill that creature. She start charming the creature. She approach the Stag and put your hand in his fur. "It's so nice", she say. "Now i found you and i can protect you" she say to the Stag. "How can I take you with me?" she think. "Maybe it's better sleep a litter before we go. Tomorrow it's a new day for us!" Smoke agree with her and start looking for a save place to sleep.

The door won't budge even if it is forced. For the other side, it seems that gently pushing it won't activate the trap also. [Per(Vegeta)] The ceiling on the other hand, seems unstable. If the door or walls are forced it might collapse on its own.
With the alcohol out of her system after the long flight (+1 Dex), Freya admires the beauty of the creature, live, for the first time. [Cha(Freya)] She sends out her natural, otherworldly charm to seduce de beast. The golden stag reacts to Freya attempt without noise or words. [Dex(Freya)] But, before she is able to aproach it, the stag quickly ran into the woods to the east , leaving a golden track behind.

vegeta swallow his pride, he can't understand the meaning of the inscriptions by its own so he decide to go back to the inn so he may find someone who can translate them.

Freya was dumped, but that won't stop her. Refreshed and determined, Freya follows Smoke trough the Moonleaf's flora, chasing the trail of the golden stag. They moved though the tree's shadows for almost an hour.
With his pride down the trout (-1 Wll), Vegeta leaves the locked door for now and decides to go back to town. He needs someone to translate the inscription. Exiting the ruins, he drops the torch on the ground. Soon after, his scouter detects two weak signals approximating at running speed. [Dex(Vegeta)] From the direction of the signal, The golden stag jumps above Vegeta's spiky head, and enters once again the catacombs. Vegeta is surprised by the beast, but the surprises don't end here. Following the Stag trail arrives, from the shadowy leafs, a beautiful women and her featherly companion. Freya is breathless once again from all the running. She starts to fell somewhat hungry from all the recent physical exhaustion.

Freya arrives on a sloppy run, but Vegeta's sight makes her slow down a bit. She asks Vegeta if he is also looking for the priced stag as she moves towards the crypt. Vegeta answers with a warning about Fenrir's fate incide the dark ruin without mentioning Fenrir's name. Checking his scouter, he confirmed that the two earlier signals were from Freya and Smoke. The stag continues to be invisible to the scout's detector. Freya's signal is slightly higher than Smoke's but they are both quite weak. As Freya closes to the crypt interior she is stopped as the entrace by the utterly darkness inside. Even Smoke will not be able to guide her though the underground ruins without some kind of light source.

She grabs a branch from the ground and uses one of her potions to light the torch. She appreciates the warning from the man behind her, but she trusts herself and cauterily advances in the crypt.

After reaching for her alchemistry kit, Freya takes a small flask from it. [Int(Freya)] She pours it into the torch's head lighting it with a chemical reaction. With a lit torch and Smoke on her shoulder, Freya ventures into the crypt closely followed by Vegeta. Vegeta physical training allows him to have an almost infinite stamina, but Freya was not a soldier. Has her hunger grows, her body weakens (-1 Con).
With confidence, the duo transverse the antechamber into the corridor were Fenrir died. His blood was still fresh on the ground, and the smell was obvious. Once more, the Golden stag stood, immobile, close to the scripted and trapped door. As the novice hunters approached, the stag carefully observed them.

Freya eats a apple. She smells the blood in the air and looks around. She prepares for some traps. She notice that a Stag is afraid. Once again Freya try to connect with the Stag, using her affinity with the animals. She starts to sing:
"My beautiful creature

Don´t be afraid of the future
came out of the stone."
And very slowly she moves to the Stag.

Filling her belly slightly with a single apple (+1 Con) allows Freya to keep going forward a little longer. Vegeta is for the very second time in the situation were the Stag hides a deadly trap. This time, he closely observes all of the stag movements hoping to be able to catch it once for all.
The smell of fresh blood makes Freya thinking that there could be some traps on the room. Regardless, she reaches her arm to the cornered creature. Approximating very carefully to do not scare the beast and don't activate any trap accidentally, she sings while moving trough the corridor, with her torch on one hand and Smoke on her shoulder. [Cha(Freya)] Her voice echoes beautifully on the cold and wet walls of the crypt, warming even the supposedly dark heart of Vegeta (+1 Wll). Still, as soldier, Vegeta keeps his concentration and guard up. The stag responds to the song by flapping it's ears. Freya reaches touching range without the stag even moving, but then it dissipates again in a gold cloud when Freya tries to pet it's nose. [Int(Freya)] This kind of magic is well known by Freya. She quickly concludes that the beautiful and priced stag was a product of illusion school of magic. In other words, it never existed in the first place. By knowing his, Vegeta finally understands why his scouter was unable to detect it.
The second vanishing of the illusive stag reveals to Freya an elven inscription:
"Who makes IT, but has no need of IT.
Who buys IT, but has no use for IT.
Who uses IT but can neither see nor feel IT."
[Int(Freya)] It's a riddle, an elven riddle used to protect something important. Understanding that the Golden Stag can't be killed or captured, there is no way they can reclaim the bounty for it's fur. Will Vegeta and Freya give up and return empty handed, or will they loot the resting place of hundreds of dead elfs?

All make sense now to Freya. She understand why the Stag didn't answer to her charm. She looks to the wall and read the riddle. "Why and who someone makes this illusion and why the Stag take me here?" she said to yourself. "Maybe the riddle give me the answer to this." She thinks and read the riddle in out loud. "Something that who's made don't need, Who's buy don't use and who's use don't fell or see..." "It's a coffin!" She say and look around. "It's a lot of them in the chamber." She said and looks to the man behind her with some attention now. Maybe he wanna help her. "What's is your name and what's your propose in here?" She ask him. Meanwhile she looks around on the chamber wishing for more information.

With the riddle translated by Freya, Vegeta can finally move trough the locked door. Freya starts to think out loud and arrives to a possible answer: COFFIN. She interrogates Vegeta about his purpose there, questions which Vegeta strongly replies. After knowing about each other a little more, the newly formed team starts to look for anything unusual in the antechamber.
Trying to solve the elven riddle, they search the crypt for coffins. [Per(Vegeta)] They don't search for long has there are no coffins in the chamber. Only small pits on the walls with large numbers of bones from various peoples. [Int(Freya)] Each hole has a elven inscription above: GRASSHOPPER , MUDSEED, LOWSUN, TREROOT, BASTARDS and others alike. They search the pits, [Per(Vegeta)] and the only think they find are 2 copper coins on the ground.

The Vegeta/Freya duo seems to getting along better than Vegeta/Fenrir combo. At least no one was hurt yet. Vegeta is getting pissed of, first by the discovery that he will got receive the money, secondly by his stagnation in this dark, cold, bone-filled hole. Without any more clues from the antechamber, Freya decides to inspect the magic wall herself.
Using her magic knowledge and skills, she tries to understand the incantations on the trapped door. [Int(Freya)] The rune combination is elven for sure. There seems to be two distinct effects programmed in the door spell. Fist and most known, when the door is forced by some kind of magic or energy, the door absorbs it and then activates a complement mechanism with the residual energy. The second program is the one that locks and unlocks the door. This spell reacts to vibrations of the air, in other words, to unlock the door, is necessary to speak a specific password.

Freya tries again "Coffin" but this time in elven. Vegeta has no spare ideas and still nods with disbelieve that the answer could be so simple. Gladly for both of them, Vegeta is wrong. The word activates the door's enchantment which open the door upward like a gate. Before the door fully opens, Vegeta's scouter shows two new signals. One extremely weak, almost like Freya's. The other is surprisingly high, surpassing even Vegeta's. This new signal shows a combat power tree times higher than Vegeta's. Both signal's source are directly under their current position, deeper into the new part of the catacombs.
Beyond the door, a staircase stinks even deeper on the ground. The scenario of this new section of the crypt changes completely from the antechamber. Braziers on and beyond the stairs are lit, [Per(Vegeta)] and it shows some sign of being populated by more than the common bats.

Vegeta don't believe that any creature on that world can be stronger than him "My scouter must be broken i have to fix it after this", he says then he goes carefully amoungh the new open path.

"Yes!" Freya said super exited. Look to Vegeta and provoke him: "It's so simple, isn't?! Come one, shrewish! Lets find some bounty in all of this!" she said to Vegeta, grab his hand and push him to the catacombs.
