An Angheuol Story: The First Hunt

The small town of Greenstone belongs to the last human bastion of the continent, Knighthrone. Populated only by humans, the townsmen are very suspicious of the other humanoid races. Due to the proximity to the Moonleaf forest, many of the townsmen are either hunters or farmers. At the town south entrance is the inn, Drunken Wagon. A general store, and a small forge are also found at the town middle. The smith works as the town's huntsmen source of supplies and the store buys and sells the hunter's spoils. Greenstone is in the far north of the human territory, and no patrols come nearby. Only the occasional trader's caravan comes to town looking for the high-priced furs.
5's of the 10th New Moon, Calm Era [30/10/2017]
At the Drunken Wagon's wall there is a reward notice issued by the king's court. The king's ransom of 1000 gold coins is given to whom is able to kill the magical beast sighted at Moonleaf forest:

Golden fur of the rare Stag sighted at the forest of Moonleaf, north of the town of Greenstone, wanted!!!
Looking for any hunter, ranger or adventurer who is able to track and kill the beast.
Bonus Reward if the fur is undamaged!!!
The fur must be delivered to the Innkeeper of the Drunken Wagon, Marcos Wagon.

Adventurers should give their recommendations to the Innkeeper of Drunken Wagon, Marcos Wagon, and await in the inn until accepted. Adventurers waiting confirmation don't need to pay accommodation. It will be deducted from the final reward.
Marcos will receive recommendations for unlimited time, or until the reward is delivered.

Chapter 1 - Golden Stag; Verse 1
Marcos, the innkeeper, calls out for Vegeta e Fenrir in the room. He seems grumpy and tired of cleaning beer mugs.
"I'm sending you two together for the damn stag. You POINTY-HEAD [pointing out Vegeta]! You seem to me to be an only muscle kind of idiot, it should be difficult to track a single stag on the vast Moonleaf without the proper skill. And you.... [switching to Fenrir] You smell like a dog and have been driving off some of the costumers. You have the garments of a hunter, but it doesn't seems you can protect yourself against the many beasts of the forest. Maybe you can help each other, but you two don´t strike me as the working together type."
Marcos put down the recently clean mug and then he says, out of frustration:
"Well.... TO BAD! You will most certainly need each other or you will be wasting my time, money and beer."
Then he picks another mug and restarts the cleaning.

"Why doesn´t the stag has been caught yet? Haven't been more hunters, like the town hunters, interested with the reward?"

Chapter 1, Verse 2
The adventurers throw their questions to the innkeeper, in a attempt to collect information for their task. The innkeeper sighs, surely tired of all the problems and different idiots this campaign has brought to his doorstep. Still he finds the patience to answer Fenrir and Vegeta questions, even if somewhat reluctantly.
"Listen carefully milk drinkers..."
"The town's hunters were the first to search for the prized stag. They searched all the west section of Moonleaf and could not find a single clue. Is in the west part of the forest that the hunters find their score and gain enough coopers to make by winter's cold nights."
He stops talking for some seconds. Fenrir can sense some preoccupation in his voice:
"Of course, the areas inhabited by stag and deer are the central and east part of the forest." The innkeeper frowns. "But that areas are also the territory of many wolf packs and other beasts, so our hunters don't hunt in that parts. So if there is a golden stag, it should be around there."
His voice lightens up a little. "As of foreign hunters like you two, they come, they leave and then they are never to been seen again. Probably they don't find their price, *SO*, instead of coming back empty handed, they take the road and don´t pay me the ale or the accommodation *I* provided." Marcos face becomes red with rage. "This is a warning to two dim-witted horse shit brains! Even if you can't catch it, you shall come back and pay me! YOU HEAR!!!!!"
Listening to his husband loud voice, Vanessa comes closer to Marcos and tries to comfort him:
"Please dear, be at ease.... All this stress might kill you some day. Pleease... Calm down now....."
Marcos comes back to his senses after his wife effort. He leaves with a small warning:
"So I've never meet anyone that has seen the beast with his own eyes, but it seems that searching the east part of Moonleaf is a waste of time. One last piece of advice: Moonleaf is huge, so take some food with you."
After this advice, Marcos returns to his mug cleaning job.

Then he starts walking to the door preparing himself to fly to that area while raising his voice and saying:
"It's all i need to hear, i'm going to that area right now, I will be back few hours with the corpse of the beast."

Vegeta takes flight to search for the elusive golden Stag. But the Moonleaf Forest reveals itself to dense to be able to find anything by above. All that Vegeta can see are treetops and the adjacent mountain range.
After some inspection, he is able to spot a small river coming from the mountains into the forest.
On the ground, Fenrir finds himself surrounded by trees without a clue were to start.

Chapter 1 - Verse 4
Fenrir takes the form of the werewolf and start to hunt for any prey near. He finds out that many animals seems to congregate on the central area of the forest, near, possibly a clean water source. Deer and stag tracks are abundant.
Vegeta lands in the river in a attempt to scout for his prey. The river is abundant with many animals. Right before activating his scouter, Vegeta was able to spot it: the Golden Stag!

Fenrir takes the form of the werewolf and start to hunt for any prey near. He finds out that many animals seems to congregate on the central area of the forest, near, possibly a clean water source. Deer and stag tracks are abundant.
Vegeta lands in the river in a attempt to scout for his prey. The river is abundant with many animals. Right before activating his scouter, Vegeta was able to spot it: the Golden Stag!

Vegeta strikes a quickly as he can with a high precision attack. With a extremely fast dodge, Vegeta's blow misses the Stag's neck and hits the closer tree, chopping it in half. Fenrir arrives soon enough to watch the attack of Vegeta. After he evaded the attack, the Golden Stag fled quickly into the deeper parts of the forest. Due to the density of Moonleaf Forest, it quickly left Vegeta and Fenrir line of sight. Vegeta seems stunned at the speed of the unique Stag.
Fenrir, due to his keen senses and animal knowledge, noticed three things. First the speed of the Stag is not normal. This must be why no hunter could catch him, he seems to be faster than arrows. Seconds, for some reason, it doesn't leave tracks when it moves. It might be some kind of magical beast. This also makes it incredibly hard to track. Vegeta and Fenrir were lucky to find him in a high populated area. Third, he flew East, to the most dangerous part of the forest. It must also have some defence ability otherwise it wouldn't be able to survive there. It might be unwise to try to kill him only by brute force.
The two champions noticed each other once the stag left.

Vegeta's voice echoes all around the forest. The insane shout scares away birds in the closer treetops and other animals around the river.
Before Fenrir gets closer to Vegeta, the ground began to tumble. Vegeta's scouter indicates a creature of considerable power right bellow him!
The earth explodes, revealing a large gray monster surfacing from the spot were Vegeta stood. Vegeta is able to successfully dodge the eruption of both stone and mud. This monster seems pissed off that someone interrupted his beauty nap.

Vegeta takes no time to assess the situation and tries to take down the beast with a incredibly show of attacks. He attacks not only the creature but also the river, trees and anyone unlucky enough to get hit by the explosions, including Fenrir.
Fortunately Fenrir is able to evade the attack effectively, but it still shaken him to know that Vegeta will not considerate his well-being on his attacks. After the uncontrolled barrage of attacks, only a cloud of dusk remained. It was not possible to see what kind of beast it was or if it was dead. After a small moment of rest, the gigantic arm of the beast trust from the dust cloud, targeting Vegeta. Vegeta is caught by surprise but is able to block with both of his arms. Nonetheless, Vegeta is pulled against a tree by the impact. His armor is able to absorb the majority of the impact resulting in minor damage.
The cloud has not fully subsided yet, so its not possible to see the monster behind it. Still, by the size of the arm, Fenrir suspects it is approximately 4 to 5 meter high.

The first real moment of team work of the duo. It should be a time for celebration, if there was not a formidable enemy right in front of them.
First, a simple stag outspeeds him, now Vegeta is forced to work as a team. These two events slightly hurt Vegeta pride (-1 Wll).
As they wait, the dust began to settle, and the beast real identity is finally revealed:
A six eye monster ascends from the dust. [Int(Fenrir)] Fenrir instantly recognizes it as a Gray Render. This deadly predator has hardened skin all over his body. Hunters usually use piercing weapons to penetrate his skin. His body is covered of thick muscles that confers extra power and protection. Gray Renders are very protective of his species and territory. They often live in dense forest areas or caves were they can hunt and are protected from bright light. They prefer to hunt at night and sleep on day.
[Per(Fenrir)] After observing the foe right before them, he notices that his claws and fang aren't long enough to penetrate the beast's skin. Vegeta also don't have weapons with him, and his fist alone aren't enough. He begins to doubt if the victory is possible (-2 Wll).
The beast throws a threatening roar at the team.

[Dex(Fenrir)]But even before he was able to hit render's legs, the creature swiftly counters the attack with a strong slam on Fenrir torso, sending him back flying to Vegeta. (-3 Con) Fenrir is now lying down at Vegeta's feet, conscious, with a small amount of blood coming out of his mouth.
The grey render continues in the same position, unleashing taunting howls at Vegeta.
